Birds lovingly glean the materials for their nest and weave together a home from individual pieces of precious down, sticks, and blades of grass. No two nests are exactly alike and there are many, many different ways and means species craft their dwellings.
In a lot of ways, we surround ourselves and weave our own life’s dwelling from a gathering of our loved pictures, collections from nature, color, and comfort items. These pieces come together to create a living space unique as any nest.
Your surroundings should embrace you in a way that invites you to linger—and live—peacefully and warmly. It’s more than decorating for beauty or the cleanly wrought line. While these details can be embraced in design and certainly enhance a space, there is the equally important reality of living in the nest. Everything must have its place—a thoughtful application of organization and Do It Yourself attitude leads to a nest where life can truly take flight from. Just as in nature.
